The Pont d’Arc – Geological curiosity

A natural arch, 54 meters high and 60 meters wide, dating back at least 500,000 years, the classified site of Pont d’Arc is grandiose. Dug into the limestone by water, until it infiltrates and creates a huge opening. The Pont d’Arc is at the gates of the nature reserve of the Gorges de l’Ardèche and located a stone’s throw from the Grotte Chauvet – Pont d’Arc, listed by UNESCO.
